The Multimedia Production Specialist I, under general supervision, works with Executive Director of Marketing and Communications to create dynamic visuals and written materials for multimedia formats.
Shoots, edits, and archives high-quality digital images and video footage, as requested, to meet the University?s needs for marketing, web, and news coverage to include, but not limited to color correction, audio editing, scripting, creative direction, and music selection.
Elevates the PVAMU brand by creating visually interesting and compelling original video content to be posted on the University?s social media channels, website, on-campus assets, commercial inventory, and other media distribution platforms.
Maintains an extensive and current library of quality photographic images representing all aspects of life on the PVAMU campus. Performs duties as assigned
Collaborates with the marketing and communications team members develops a recognizable University photo and video style to become an element in the University?s visual identity. Maintains the department?s website.
Budgets time and office resources to ensure photographic work is done efficiently and in a way that reflects University priorities. Responds to requests from other campus units.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in applicable field
No prior experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of planning and executing marketing plans with regards to multimedia preferred.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to conceptually understand instructional needs and translate them in multimedia designs. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
