The Community Audio Producer serves as a link between CPR listeners and audio storytellers from around Colorado. This person will work as CPR’s ambassador to artists, producers and organizations doing important work in podcasting, radio and other mediums. In collaboration with the Executive Producer of CPR’s Audio Innovations Studio, the producer finds, adapts and guides community-generated audio stories for distribution on multiple CPR platforms and plays an instrumental role in helping to create the vision and execution of this new focus area in Audio Innovations.
Produce and adapt community-generated stories - such as storytelling nights, speeches or theatrical presentations -- and provide intro, interstitial and outro material for presentation on various platforms. Build and maintain relationships with community organizations that generate and foster audio storytelling, and serve as an ambassador for CPR. May develop and help teach external training sessions in audio storytelling.
Research and develop proposals designed to cultivate and foster audio storytelling from the Colorado community and prioritize and champion stories that amplify diverse voices and experiences.
Coordinate with content managers in News, Classical and Indie 102.3 to make community-generated audio available across services. Includes organizing and maintaining schedules for production of community audio features and other deliverables as well as delivering written materials and high-quality produced audio mixes on schedule and within budget constraints.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated familiarity with and passion for podcasting, public media and community audio projects required.
Experience building and maintaining relationships with other nonprofits and community organizations required.
Minimum of five years experience producing high-quality audio required.
Journalism experience preferred.
Demonstrated track record of cultivating and championing content from a diverse array of contributors preferred.
Hosting experience preferred
Able to work collaboratively, supporting colleagues from various different perspectives and experiences, and able to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks required.
Non-standard hours should be expected from time to time.
Position is based at CPR’s Centennial headquarters and incumbent is required to live in the greater Denver metro area.
