Caltech's Office of Strategic Communications (OSC) works to define, promote, and protect Caltech's image, reputation, and brand. We create a wide range of content across multiple formats and platforms to tell the story of Caltech's people, their research, and how they create knowledge and advance discoveries that impact the world.
We are responsible for unifying and strengthening the Institute's voice, both by our own activities and by equipping and empowering organizations across campus with messaging, materials, and tools to help them extend the Institute's reach and influence through their own work.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Communications, the Digital Communications Associate is a communications specialist who is passionate about using digital technology as part of a program intended to engage, connect, and activate a community. They will be the primary person responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing content on websites managed by OSC (including www.caltech.edu) as well as other communications channels and platforms. Additionally, this person will work with teams across the Institute to help them build and maintain digital communications programs that they can self-manage and grow.
Content development, distribution, and monitoring
Assist in maintaining content on Caltech's main website, as well as other sites managed by OSC.
Help with uploading and formatting text and images for news articles and other pages, including the campus map.
Assist the Social Media Manager with monitoring conversations on social media and scheduling or posting content.
