The Seattle Times, a family-owned news organization, and one of the region’s premier regional news sources, is hiring an Arts Recovery Reporter. This position is 32 hours/week and is a grant-funded role that is subject to grant renewal. Funding for this role is not guaranteed beyond the 2022 calendar year, though renewal is the goal.  A rich, vibrant arts scene is the hallmark of a flourishing society. The arts play an integral role in creating a sense of shared experiences and introducing people to new ideas, and they’re the cornerstone of culture. Yet, the COVID-19 pandemic and all resulting economic woes have put arts organizations everywhere in peril. This arts recovery reporter will help us deepen our exploration of the pandemic’s effects on artists, arts or
