Arts Recovery Reporter
The Seattle Times, a family-owned news organization, and one of the region’s premier regional news sources, is hiring an Arts Recovery Reporter. This position is 32 hours/week and is a grant-funded role that is subject to grant renewal. Funding for this role is not guaranteed beyond the 2022 calendar year, though renewal is the goal.  A rich, vibrant arts scene is the hallmark of a flourishing society. The arts play an integral role in creating a sense of shared experiences and introducing people to new ideas, and they’re the cornerstone of culture. Yet, the COVID-19 pandemic and all resulting economic woes have put arts organizations everywhere in peril.
