Position Description: Gould Evans is seeking a full-time Communications Lead to work as part of our design, architecture and planning studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong creative writer who relishes demonstrating the power of design. We’re looking for a storyteller who’s highly collaborative, detail-oriented and relentlessly curious about the future of communications. This position may be fully remote or have the option of working from one of our five offices. This role will collaborate with principals and associates throughout the firm to communicate our firm’s most compelling messaging across multiple channels.

Primary responsibilities of the position:
Strategically leverage social media to elevate visibility and awareness of the firm.
Plan and execute firmwide content calendar to support firm strategy and studio business development initiatives and pursuits.
Storytelling across social media accounts, including developing and posting, soliciting and coordinating internal posting ideas, managing daily monitoring for firm and key clients, and connecting posts to trending topics.
Support project teams as needed by writing and communicating compelling project stories to be shared across multiple channels, including website, blog, social media, newsletters, press releases, award submissions, and special publications.
Support studios' pursuit of PR opportunities by researching publication requirements, helping with writing and editing, and managing submission and follow-up with publication editors.
Manage the firm blog, including identifying story ideas and following up with contributors, maintaining an editorial calendar and style guide, editing content, making posts and leveraging content via social media.
Foster employee understanding and enthusiasm of the value of their participation in the firm’s blog and social media efforts.
Assist with website updates and maintain relevant pages including blog, news, and people to ensure consistency with brand, core values and strategic goals.
Ensure tracking and reporting of relevant website and social metrics and work to improve effectiveness.
Work with marketing team to identify opportunities and strategically place targeted digital content to enhance firm’s awareness, brand and image.
Work with marketing team and studios as needed to create Mail Chimp email pushes including writing copy, collaborating with graphic designers and identifying appropriate contact lists.
Serve as an advocate and steward of the brand, communicating brand strategy within the firm and monitoring to ensure consistency and alignment.
Vetting and responding to inbound media requests.

We’re seeking candidates who have:
Minimum 3-7 years professional experience in PR, journalism or content marketing, including 3+ years experience strategically managing social media.
Clear, dynamic writing style, high visual acuity and keen eye for detail.
Demonstrated storytelling ability.
Passion for architecture and design.
Curious nature and proactive pursuit and internal leadership of what’s on the forefront of communications.
Strong organizational skills and ability to self-manage.
Experience in fostering remote working relationships and in working with senior leadership, and other creative disciplines (designers, photographers).
Outgoing, collaborative, proactive personality.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to travel.
