The Academy is seeking a full-time Content Developer to capture compelling stories and elevate the Academyâs mission to empower the next generation of global leaders, innovators, and creatives. The Content Producer is a highly creative storyteller with a versatile skillset to develop content in various styles for multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic collaborator with great instinct for story, an eye for detail, and the ability to take a creative concept to completion.
Write and edit high quality, publication-ready editorial copy for distribution across various owned platforms including websites, newsletters, social media captions, and brochures/postcards.
Develop compelling multimedia digital content that incorporates a variety of media such as video, animation, motion graphics, photography, and music
Develop and execute differentiated social media strategies for each platform (i.e. Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube); manage and monitor social media properties; nurture and respond to distinct online communities
Develop, manage, and maintain editorial and social media calendars; prepare and review content to ensure accuracy and alignment with brand/editorial style guides
Research, develop, and pitch compelling story ideas
Coordinate and review the work of contracted vendors, student workers, and ensures timely delivery of goods and /or services
Continually track new, innovative industry trends, news and media, and storytelling opportunities
Monitor analytics and create monthly reports detailing outcomes of communication campaigns and strategies
Maintain regular communications with students, faculty, staff, University Communications, and vendors. Attends meetings, conferences, trainings, etc. as assigned
Updating and maintaining departmental files, databases, mailing lists, telephone and contact information, etc.
Other duties as assigned or requested
Candidates must have the ability to work successfully within a team environment. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Working knowledge of MS Office is required. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), photography, and video-editing software is preferred.
Bachelor's degree or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
3 years in public relations, journalism, or communications-related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to keep up with tight deadlines and multitask
Proactive, reliable, self-motivated with positive and professional attitude
Ability to work under pressure and deadline-oriented environment
Ability to keep information confidential

Experience with photography, videography and graphic design
