COMMUNICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR , Corporate Relations/Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) , to coordinate communications and marketing projects in support of program objectives. Projects will include work for the ILP and Startup Exchange websites, contributions to MIT News, faculty-focused feature stories, email campaigns, webinar and webcast production, in-person/virtual events, and collateral materials. Will write, edit, and proofread original and other content; propose and develop story ideas for the ILP Insider; interview faculty and startup/technology/industry partners; share session photos and approximate story release dates with subjects; finalize editorial calendar; compose ILP member collaboration profiles; coordinate video production and edit video; proof, format, and headline written stories for website; format photos; update website's "News" section and homepage carousel; follow up with subjects on their active media materials; layout, edit, proof, and circulate weekly mailings; push updated news through social media channels; submit weekly news to MIT campus news; upload videos to ILP iTunes U and YouTube channels; explore web, social media, and direct mail analytics; provide editorial consulting and support, advice on using web and social media resources, editorial and proofing support for conference booklets, and day-of support and social media coverage for conferences; evaluate requests for media access at events; and support colleagues with collecting/editing/formatting speaker abstracts/bios.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or journalism; at least three years' communications experience; strong organizational and written and oral communication skills; experience working in team settings; and familiarity with HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and a variety of social media platforms and management systems.
