Regis College is seeking a talented multimedia producer who can use compelling storytelling to elevate and promote the Regis College brand through video, photo, and other visual elements.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the multimedia producer will be part of the central Marketing and Communications team, which specializes in supporting the University’s strategic goals, enrollment, and fundraising initiatives. The department works closely with staff from undergraduate and graduate admissions, advancement, and student affairs teams to shape the Regis story in print publications, press, social media, and the Regis website.
The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about identifying inspirational stories on campus, can foster positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students, be a creative problem solver, and who takes pride in delivering high-quality work that will align with the mission and brand of Regis College.
Create engaging video and photo content for a variety of audiences, including prospective and current students, alumni, and donors, that can be used across web, social media, and email.
Cover assigned stories and work collaboratively with team members to conceptualize and generate story ideas, including but not limited to student and alumni spotlights, faculty profiles, brand awareness videos, news stories, and campus highlights.
Coordinate aspects of pre-and post-video production responsibilities, including creating storyboards, developing scripts, securing campus filming locations, shooting, and editing.
Responsible for the design of video graphic elements, music selection, audio editing, and color correction.
Evaluate and manage audio/visual equipment for the department.
Be knowledgeable about best practices in what makes good video content and can assist in maintaining ADA compliancy, including closed captioning.
Organize and maintain the University’s Vimeo and YouTube channels as well as a department video library of archival and b-roll footage.
Work collaboratively with freelance videographer and photographers for certain projects.
Assist in creating content for the University’s main video-based social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Serve on the university-wide Communications Committee.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum three years of work experience in video production, marketing, communications, or related industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with and make video subjects comfortable in front of the camera.
Proven ability to shoot and edit compelling photography and videos.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects.
Proficiency in graphic design and photography editing programs using Adobe Creative Suite or related program.
Previous experience working on video shoots preferred.
Technical knowledge of hardware used for expert photography and video: cameras, lighting and sound equipment.
Ability to be a hands-on contributor and collaborator who can multitask and be responsive to new challenges including crisis management.
Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to be a self-starter, create themed content that corresponds with the University’s branding and messaging, and work with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with the ability to collaborate and take feedback from different constituents on campus.
Must be comfortable managing several projects simultaneously.
Ability to uphold the University’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in temperature, noise, odors, etc.
Regularly uses computer keyboards requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
Requires the ability to use camera and video gear.
May include occasional travel, including to campus sites in Waltham and Lawrence.
The position is primarily during normal business hours but must be available to work occasional nights and weekends based on University event calendar (i.e., Commencement, Homecoming Weekend)
