Position Summary:
Yeshiva University High School for Boys (YUHSB) / Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy (MTA) is looking for a Director of Marketing and Communications to coordinate, oversee, and manage its programming, branding, and marketing. Reporting to the Head of School, the ideal candidate will be a member of the school leadership team and will primarily focus on:
Position Responsibilities:
BRANDING:
Work with the leadership team to communicate a consistent and clear message and brand for all communications.
Develop a strategy to continue to promote the brand to members of the YUHSB community.
RECRUITMENT:
Develop overall recruitment strategy and work with the Director of Admissions to implement this strategy through:
Open House
Creating all print and digital marketing materials
Community Parlor Meetings
8th Grade tours/visits and other recruitment events/initiatives
PROGRAMMING:
Work with the Dean of Student Life to create a strategy for the Student Activities Department to promote their programming and generate excitement.
FUNDRAISING:
Work closely with the Director of Institutional Advancement on strategy, content, and communications for all fundraising campaigns.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Manage all marketing communications, including:
School Website - Manage design, content, and updates.
Social Media - Create daily content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, reflecting the yeshiva's messaging and showcasing each aspect of the MTA experience, post special event, athletic games, and programming content in real time.
Manage YouTube, Vimeo, and Flickr accounts - Post all videos and descriptions on Vimeo and YouTube, post all photos in organized albums on Flickr.
Video - Work with professional vendors to create promotional videos, including first day of school video, admissions videos, annual dinner videos, and graduation video.
Newsletter - Draft and send out weekly e-newsletter highlighting the latest MTA news.
PR - Write and submit 2 articles per week to local papers, including the Jewish Link of NJ, Queens Jewish Link, Five Towns Jewish Times, Five Towns Jewish Home, Monsey Mevaser, Jewish Star, and Jewish Vues.
Blog - Post at least 2 articles per week on the Blog.
Traditional Advertisements - Work with advertising vendors to create and publish print and digital ads for specific campaigns.
Email Communications - Manage communications calendar to ensure that communications are sent out in a timely manner, proofread and edit all communications prior to distribution and ensure that every communication reflects the yeshiva's consistent messaging, warmth, and values, set up and send out all emails in Constant Contact, maintain Constant Contact database and email lists.
Marketing Materials - Responsible for creating all print and digital marketing materials, including event invitations, event flyers, and school calendar.
Photography - Schedule and oversee annual photo shoots to create content for use in marketing materials, hire and oversee photographers for special events, including annual Seudas Preidah and graduation.
Cultivate and maintain a relationship with our marketing and communication partners.
Network with professionals in other schools and organizations.
Experience & Educational Background:
College Degree Required
5+ years experience preferred
Skills & Competencies:
The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, collaborative, charismatic and possess an understanding of education.
Salary Range:
$75,000-$90,000
