Job Description:
Coordinates research administration, operations and communications across the program.
Works with pre- and post-award grants staff, clinical research staff and management, UCCCC, CTFG and others as needed; act as program point person for Program Director.
Interfaces with Cancer Service Line (CSL) staff regarding issues and strategy, as needed; assist Program Director and CSL with planning and follow up.
Partners with clinical trials network management and staff and network sites to optimize program clinical research across existing and new network locations.
Partners with existing clerical and administrative staff to optimize administrative operations and communications.
Works with Hematology/Oncology communications director to share program news and highlights on social media, with alumni, etc., and to develop a regular program newsletter that highlights clinical research and program accomplishments.
Provides onboarding overview of program for new staff, network and faculty hires.
Coordinates and manages CME symposia and events.
Develops/implements new policies and procedures.
Applies research principles and relevant subject matter knowledge relevant to administer a research project. With a moderate level of direction, manages lab and/or research-related duties and tasks. Helps develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan.
Takes responsibility for the following non-laboratory duties: transcribing and coding data; developing data collection instruments; presenting research; and recruiting and scheduling research subjects. Acquires higher-level skills and knowledge in the process.
