This staff position will be responsible for serving as an instructional coach to paraprofessionals who are implementing reading and math interventions as part of a federally-funded research project. This staff member will be responsible for: learning how to deliver the reading and math interventions and related assessments; learning behavior management strategies; providing on-going coaching guidance to paraprofessionals, a majority of this coaching will be provided virtually; conduct assessments with participating paraprofessionals, teachers, and students; travel to local schools to conduct assessment and observations; code video and audio recordings of intervention; conduct data entry and data checking; may be involved in travel to other sites (Nashville, Dallas, Atlanta) for meetings, assessment, or observations; will be required to complete human subjects research training. Hours will include up to 29.5 hours per week beginning June 1, 2022 Remote work is possible.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support to school staff members participating in the research study (50%)
- Conduct assessments with study participants (10%)
- Provide assistance with data and materials management (30%)
- Meet with Project Coordinator for ongoing training (10%)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education (or related field) AND special education teacher certification
Required time in field previous to employment: 2 years of special education teaching experience with experience delivering both academic and behavioral interventions to students with disabilities. Preferred: Previous experience serving as an instructional coach. Reliable transportation required.
