Responsible for non-athletic internal and external communications (including updating main website content, magazine content, copy writing, school news, and social marketing). Prepare articles, promotional content, press releases, 
announcements, and other marketing materials as requested.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain annual communications plan. 
• Create and support strong working relationships with media outlets and school divisions. 
• Ensure the development of accurate and compelling communications and materials that enhance the reputation 
and image of the Academy. 
• Monitor press mentions of Montverde Academy, responding to them as necessary. 
• Prepares written content for a variety of media including news releases, social media content, brochures, 
advertisements, scripts and correspondence. 
• Coordinate non-athletic webpage information updates, ensuring that new and consistent information such as 
article links, stories, and events are posted regularly. 
• Track and report the level of engagement on our media sites, including social media. 
• Manage all non-athletic media inquiries. 
• Monitor and ensure brand awareness across all divisions. 
• Work with Marketing to compose promotional literature and other forms of communication. 
• Copywrite, proofread, and revise communications. 
• Research media coverage and industry trends. 
• Develop fresh story ideas. 
• Conduct extensive media outreach. 
• Research and write relevant stories for semiannual publication.

Bachelor’s degree required in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field. 
• Experience in Marketing, Education, Public Relations, or Corporate Communications preferred. 
• Excellent oral and written skills, preferably AP Style. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365. 
• Deadline driven.
• Proficient at copy writing and editing for marketing materials, social media, and news posts. 
• Strong organizational skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Proficient in understanding and utilizing web technologies: digital advertising, social media, news, and online 
dissemination of information.
• Excellent judgement of news value. 
• Manage and direct communications and marketing messaging across multiple platforms and channels.
• Practiced in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
