The Marketing and Admissions Manager is a full-time position, which reports directly to the Head of School and works collaboratively with the Administration Team and in cooperation with the faculty. The Marketing and Admissions Manager will model outstanding professional practices, uphold the school’s mission, vision, and core values, and be knowledgeable about the full academic program of the school.
The Marketing and Admissions Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a results-driven marketing and communications plan which leads to increased enrollment through new student recruitment and retention of current students.
Essential Functions
Work closely with the administrative team on the development and implementation of the marketing and admissions plan.
Establish and strive to reach enrollment goals for marketing, admissions, and retention.
Establish and strive to reach marketing and admissions activity goals.
Provide a data-driven marketing and enrollment management process.
Perform other duties consistent with the position which may be required from time- to-time.
Marketing and Branding
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for the school. The plan should include an internal marketing strategy to reinforce the school’s core brand messages and customer satisfaction to the parent community. Develop and implement an effective word-of- mouth strategy that will create internal and external “buzz” for the school.
Develop and implement a comprehensive branding effort for the school by developing and enforcing brand standards as well as reviewing and approving all collateral and web-based communications.
Provide oversight and leadership to the school’s website by coordinating the content, news, and videos. In addition, utilized web-based marketing strategies to increase the school’s online presence, including the effective use of social media.
Develop and implement an external marketing effort, including advertising planning and execution, that will generate increased awareness of the school within all its target constituencies, including parents, faculty/staff, grandparents, alumni, donors, and within the broader community.
Create and manage our marketing budget
Obtain bids for printing, mailing, and other marketing projects.
Communication:
Provide a consistent, timely, and compelling flow of internal marketing communications to current parents using mailings, the school’s website, Facebook, Instagram, e- blasts, and other strategies.
Provide a regular flow of external marketing communications to broader audiences through the use of school publications, website, Facebook and other social media, e-blasts, local media outlets, and other strategies.
In collaboration with the administration, act as spokesperson for Austin Jewish Academy.
Develop relationship with local media outlets - formulate and prepare press releases and other materials to the media to provide newsworthy stories that will tell the Austin Jewish Academy story to the broader community.
Tell the Austin Jewish Academy story through effective writing and speaking. Working with administration, faculty and staff in crafting stories and communicate them through various outlets.
Admissions:
Develop, implement, and manage the new family/student recruitment plan.
Aggressively strive to reach and/or exceed all the recruitment goals for inquiries, campus visits, acceptances, deposits and new student enrollees.
Provide a customer-centered, campus visit program and follow-up for all inquiries and applicants.
Increase awareness of the school through feeder schools and other groups.
Encourage and facilitate the involvement of parents in the recruitment strategy.
Create and work with a team of parent volunteers in the parent ambassador program.
Motivate and facilitate the involvement of all faculty and staff in the recruitment process.
Report weekly on the progress toward recruitment goals to administration.
Organize our marketing calendar and coordinate with stakeholders to stay on schedule
Articulate AJA’s program and create an effective marketing design to maintain a cutting-edge admissions packet
Coordinate the production of in-house print pieces and electronic communications including the annual report, brochures, banners, invitations, ads, and other promotions
Manage the fulfilment of all in-house print pieces
Manage and update electronic communication
Compile, edit, and publish The Mane News and The Monthly Roar
Website content audit, analysis, and oversight

Development information update
Represent AJA and serve as the face of the school to the school and broader community and with prospective families while communicating the mission.
Inspire the community to actively participate in admissions events including; individual and group tours, student shadow visits, curricular information sessions, student observations/testing/interview, parent to parent connections, and individual family conversations.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with area educational constituencies including area schools, preschools, consultants, admissions directors and organizations and create networking opportunities.
