Department Name: 3R100:PR and Strategic Communications
The Medical Campus PR Officer position is responsible for promoting medical and research initiatives and patient stories and is the primary liaison for Markey Cancer Center highlighting the initiatives, success stories and achievements of faculty, staff and patients. This includes creating content for news releases, newsletters, blogs, video scripts, podcasts and social media. Also, pitching stories to reporters with an emphasis on working with national media. This position also serves a member of the 24-hour on-call team for UK Public Relations and Strategic Marketing responding to media calls for patient information or crisis situations on campus.
