Castilleja School’s Advancement Department is seeking an Advancement (Fundraising) and Alumnae Associate who will work with alumnae, faculty and students to develop, implement, and assist with annual fundraising initiatives, alumnae program, external communications and provide administrative and operational support for the capital campaign. This position is responsible for building and strengthening the school’s alumni affinity groups, focusing on alumnae of color and LBGTQ+, creating and updating external websites and marketing materials for the Advancement Department. The Associate will be asked to help with fundraising-related projects, including research, writing and presentations. This position will work in close collaboration with the Director of Advancement.
Core responsibilities:
Develop and manage the Alumnae Affinity Groups
Produce Alumnae eNews six times per year, featuring alumnae spotlights, campus news, and upcoming events
Produce alumnae elements of the Full Circle annual magazine
Produce outreach marketing materials, writing newsletters and emails and overseeing distribution for Advancement Department
Produce fundraising materials
Oversee Advancement website, and develop and implement social media strategy for advancement and alumnae
Work with alumni volunteers, students, staff to implement range of alumnae programs and services
Coordinate alumnae events, activities and outreach efforts
Create marketing materials for Advancement Department- Alumnae, Fundraising, Capital Campaign
Support the Director of Advancement on events, projects, presentations, meeting agendas, and scheduling
Perform donor research, and create summary briefs and written proposals, and record and track in database
Ensure donor acknowledgement, stewardship, and public recognition; track stewardship and recognition; design and customize stewardship materials
Draft donor and alumnae letters and communications
Assist with the Senior Class Gift program in collaboration with administration, student committee, and alumnae match gift partners
Collaborate with campus partners to introduce alumnae speakers for classroom visits, student organizations, and school-wide panels including C-STEAM, Humanities Forum, Global Week, and Casti@Work (Career Day)
Provide support to alumnae seeking to utilize the Castilleja network
