The Department of Computer Science at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington invites applications for two (2) full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor, beginning in the fall of 2023.

The Department of Computer Science, with soon-to-be nine faculty and over two hundred majors, offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree, as well as a B.A. degree. It is the fastest-growing program in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), which also has an ABET-accredited computer engineering program. (U.S. News and World Report ranks SEAS in the top 10% of the nation's engineering schools without doctoral programs.) Salaries are competitive, and facilities for undergraduate teaching and research are excellent.
Gonzaga, ranked 79th among U.S. News and World Report national universities, is located on the Spokane River, a short walk from downtown Spokane. The university is minutes by foot from two medical schools, which provide rich opportunities for collaboration.
The city itself is in eastern Washington State, adjacent to the Selkirk Mountains, with short flights to the tech centers of Seattle (~1 hour) and San Francisco (~2 hours). Evidence of an ongoing and successful research program (e.g., publications in computer science or cybersecurity or software engineering journals or conference proceedings)
Enthusiasm for teaching at the undergraduate level
