Description of Work:
The Department Operations Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics (SCMA), including providing support of the administrative, academic, and financial functions of the department. Supervises office support staff and/or student workers. Responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets, preparing reports and analysis, and ensuring accurate and timely management of administrative, academic, and financial activities. Oversees scheduling of classes, including assisting in the analysis of historic enrollment data (at both the course and program level) and prediction of future course needs. Manages the distribution of graduate assistant teaching and research assignments. Plans and schedules events and special projects, such as SCMA Department Advisory Board meetings and open houses for students. Prepares marketing materials (such as brochures) related to the department's undergraduate and graduate programs and coordinates updates to the department website. Assists faculty, staff and students in preparing news items for submission to the college web page. Prepares the annual department newsletter for external distribution to alumni and friends of the department. Coordinates and prepares content for the department's social media and web pages. Communicates with the college human resources office for payroll and other employment-related transactions. Maintains accurate data and financial files and accurate personnel files of faculty, staff and students. Assists faculty with academic and administrative processes including tenure and promotion file preparation. Assists the SCMA Department Promotion and Tenure Committee in conducting annual faculty performance evaluations, including the collection and distribution of relevant faculty materials, such as CVs, grade distributions and course evaluations, in a confident and secure manner. Assists in the management of the departmental seminar series, including communications with external speakers regarding schedule, travel arrangements, and promotional materials.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience must demonstrate working knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and payroll practices; and PC-based word processing and spreadsheet software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience preferred. Experience with grants/contracts desirable. Experience in a higher education environment helpful. Experience with large integrated financial management systems (such as SAP) preferred.
Posted Salary: $21.154/hr minimum
