General Purpose of PositionReporting to the Director of Operations, this 12-month, full-time position oversees application processes, outreach, and communications with the Isabella Cannon Global Education Center (GEC).
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Application management (40%) - Manage Terra Dotta (TD), application system
- Brings an end-to-end view of the program life cycle
- Manage permissions for system users
- Create components required for application processes and data management
- Serve as the primary contact and problem solver for TD application system
- Ensure consistency in language and content across TD applications and program pages
- Manage study away, international student, and scholarship application processes, in consultation and coordination with others in the GEC
- Work across the GEC to establish application procedures and deadlines
Outreach (20%) - Work with program managers and others to organize outreach events to promote global programming on campus. This can include:
- Tabling in common areas on campus
- Organizing and participating in DEI related events and activities
- Visiting classes to share information about programs
Communications (35%) - Increase campus awareness of global programming and activities at Elon and through the GEC.
- Oversee and manage the GEC website
- Map out changes to the overall structure and vision of the website, in coordination with University Communications and others in the GEC
- Web site maintenance (Word Press)
- Oversee GEC social media channels
- Develop and implement a strategy for managing the GECs social media channels, which aligns with the Elon and GEC strategic visions
- Develop promotional materials for events and programming including announcements, flyers, and videos
- Assist with crisis management and health and safety communications
- Oversee the annual GEC photo contest
- Serve as a liaison with the University Communications office and other media outlets for media coverage such as news stories, interviews and quotes
- Assist in the production of the GECs reports and publications, including the monthly GEC newsletters for study abroad and international students and annual report
