GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Recently, the City of Fitchburg was awarded a Creative Cities grant by MassDevelopment, a state agency that offers financing and real estate solutions to support companies and nonprofits, increase housing, eliminate blight, and drive economic growth across Massachusetts. The Creative Cities grant will support local arts and culture infrastructure, placemaking, programs, and leadership and partnership development over a two-year period. In Fitchburg, the work of Creative Cities will be performed by a 22-member (and growing) Creative Cities Partnership Team (Partnership Team), led by the Fitchburg Art Museum, Fitchburg State University, the City of Fitchburg, InTown Fitchburg, NewVue Communities, and the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance.
