Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of one year post-college experience OR 2-3 years of experience as undergraduate student assistant serving in an athletics communications position involving social media strategy & content creation, media relations, printed materials development and production, athletics event reporting, project management and statistical information development.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience working in InDesign & Photoshop and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, image-editing and web-editing software Detail oriented for accuracy of date and information Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines Strong initiative to solve problems Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives Ability and willingness to build rapport with diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, administrators, media and other key constituents Proficient in copy writing, editing using AP style guidelines, proofreading and composition Ability to work in fast-paced environment that includes night and weekend hours Ability to gain and maintain working knowledge of University, CAA and NCAA rules and regulations Ability to gain and maintain working knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance issues as they pertain to publicity and promotional efforts. Travel will be required as deemed necessary by the Director of Communications & Creative Content
