The Graduate Program Recruiter collaborates with a team of recruitment and admission staff to engage with prospective students through the recruitment process of various master's programs. This role focuses on initiating and nurturing prospective student interest in master's programs through a variety of channels, including in person, phone, online and on and off campus events, as well as providing counseling on programs and school differentiators, attributes and overall selling points. Counseling and guidance will be primarily executed through 1:1 meetings and creating/sending communication to students at all stages of the admission cycle.
This position is primarily active in the recruitment process, but the Graduate Program Recruiter may also be involved in the admission process through the execution of interviews. Knowledge of the admission requirements, learning outcomes of the program and experience is required. The Recruiter is in charge of maintaining accurate data on how students are progressing through the recruitment cycle as well as overall reporting trends on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
Additional responsibilities focus on spearheading and managing on and off campus event planning and execution, travel planning, community outreach initiatives, the interview process, alumni engagement and cross unit collaboration.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
â‹Generates interest in the Olin Master's programs and maintains effective communication with perspective students regarding graduate programs.
Manages prospective students by maintaining extensive contacts; monitoring application progress from start to completion.
Works with the Customer Relational Management System to track communication and outreach with prospective students.
Qualifies prospective students through program enrollment requirements and admission interviews.
Responsible for the retention of newly admitted students and meeting enrollment goals.
Assists students with pre-enrollment activities and participates in orientation.
Develops and executes Recruitment Roadmaps and New Admit plans for the programs assigned.
Collaborates with Student Services, Career Services and Marketing teams to disseminate information on progress to goals and encourage best practices and transparency in the process.
Marketing, Events & Recruitment:
Acts as a primary representative and attends recruitment events that include, but are not limited to, college fairs, community meetings, and domestic/international recruitment fairs.
Coordinates with internal and external teams to create communications to prospective students and admitted students. Types of communication may include emails, phone calls, relevant industry or program news releases, blogs, call campaigns and recruitment or yield information.
Organizes, plans and executes on and off campus recruitment events for prospective students and participates on admission and recruitment oriented panels as needed.
Assists the recruitment team in identifying market trends and develops recruitment and admission strategies, collaborates with the Marketing department on marketing projects and creative initiatives. Assists the team in executing quarterly updates on web and other marketing materials in order to ensure accurate and consistent data is being presented and disseminated appropriately.
Collaborates with event coordinators on-campus recruiting event planning and places them on the web when appropriate.
Develops PowerPoint presentations for virtual, on and off campus marketing purposes and ensures that program presentations are up-to-date with correct information, updated faculty, ambassador and alumni profiles when applicable.
Under direction and in collaboration with teams, executes Undergraduate Classroom and Organization outreach. Assists with finding classes, faculty support, presentations, marketing materials, and attends advisor meetings as needed.
Assists with targeted diversity recruitment: military, women, ethnic, geographic, etc. Primary roles to include: assists teams in diversity messaging and communication, creates email templates, assists admission with tracking applications, assists management with creating a follow-up plan to nature connections made events and tracks diverse prospects in campaigns through the admissions cycle.
Interviews applicants for academic aptitude, interviewing skills and communication proficiency.
Communicates with stakeholders on the current status of application totals and decisions, elements of diversity and scholarship awards.
Makes recommendation on referrals across the portfolio to cross-sell effectively.
Tracks any overdue deposits and attempts to move the student to the accepted offer status.
Conducts audits on all admitted students requesting a deposit extension prior to sending to admission for consideration.
Works with teams to identify applicants who did not complete their application by a specific deadline and determines if they should be moved to a limited status.
Computer & Technical Expertise:
Establishes and maintains the facility with computer operating systems pertaining to general inquiries, admission, and financial aid for purposes of efficient and concise record keeping and generation of communication and reports.
Establishes expertise in CRM, the application system, the interview scheduling system, the event systems, reporting software and other computer systems as needed.
Reporting functions to include: verifies tour lead excel lists with CRM, quality control checks with teams to ensure proper follow up with leads/prospects for all events, monthly updates on how prospects and applicants are progressing through the cycle and notifies management of any trends. Regular updates on progress to goal from the Prospect to Enrolled stages.
Collaborates with the Operations team on end-of-cycle clean up, program audits, final program data and orientation surveys.
Develops expertise in the evaluation and use of emerging outreach tools, such as other social media channels.
Previous business education.
Previous experience within a university.

Bachelor's degree required and three years related experience.
$47,300.00 - $78,200.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
