Rye Country Day School seeks an energetic, creative, and organized full-time Sports Information Coordinator to serve as the marketing/communications representative and archivist for all school athletic activities and information. This includes developing, organizing, and sharing an athletic content stream for digital and print publication; overseeing the sports photography/videography schedule; and recording game/athlete statistics and related information. The Sports Information Coordinator will be based in the Athletic Department with a dotted line to the Office of Marketing & Communications. This position will report to the Director of Athletics and the Director of Institutional Communications & Publications.

Launch and oversee the day-to-day management of an official RCDS Athletics Instagram account for a broad audience of prospective students/families, current students/families, and alumni.
Provide balanced coverage of RCDS’s 68+ interscholastic athletic teams, P.E. curriculum, and students’ extracurricular/independent athletic achievements.
Design, write, and oversee the production of social media posts and stories, including gameday flyer stories and live game reporting posts, game recaps and stats, and athletic news items for social media and the RCDS news webpage.
Gather, organize, and archive statistical information from coaches and other athletics staff.
Oversee sports photography and videography schedule, vendors, and archive.
Serve as lead liaison between Athletics and the Office of Marketing & Communications.
Attend games to capture images, videos, other pertinent content, and data.
Establish a streamlined, timely flow of information from coaches.
Manage the sports information budget
Collaborate with the Parents Association’s Booster Committee to increase on-brand visibility of Athletics events and increase school spirit via athletics.
Complete miscellaneous job-related duties in the Department of Athletics & P.E. as assigned.
At least 5 years of experience directly related to marketing/communications in an athletic setting, preferably at a school or college.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a school community.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience using various communication and marketing platforms and technologies
Superior computer and social media skills.
Proven ability to gather, organize, analyze, and share data.
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous projects
Project management experience with a track record of meeting deadlines.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions.
Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
