The Office of Communications and Marketing at St. Ambrose University is seeking a Communication Content Specialist with strong writing skills and background who can create timely marketing-focused content for multiple communications platforms, which may include publications, print materials, direct marketing, news site, website and social media. The position will research University programs, activities and events that tell the stories of the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of St. Ambrose. Primary emphasis will be on creation of written marketing content, with the possibility to assist with creation of alternate forms of content working in other forms and formats to maximize the impact of new communications technologies. Position is full-time, exempt with benefits. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or five years' experience in area of responsibility or related area. Preferred candidates will have a degree in English, Communication, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent professional experience. Requires excellent communication, writing and story-telling skills. Must be a talented writer with good editing skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment and have the ability to produce content on deadline. Requires ability to use computer systems and software, preferably including experience with CMS, photo preparation and video editing software, or willingness to learn new computer applications.
