El Tímpano is seeking an experienced reporter and newsroom mentor to join our award-winning team as a Senior Reporter/Editor.  The Sr. Reporter/Editor will produce original enterprise coverage on the issues that impact the daily lives of the Bay Area’s Latino and Mayan immigrants. You will examine interwoven systems, policies, narratives, and beliefs that fuel the most complex issues affecting these communities, on topics such as health equity, public safety, labor, and housing, among others. You will also support the Editorial Director to edit and coach other staff journalists and freelancers.   El Tímpano is not an ordinary newsroom. For five years, we have earned recognition and inspired emulation across the field of local news for our investment in listening, developin
