Keene State Collegeâs Athletics Department is seeking a highly collaborative individual to serve as a Sports Information Assistant. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with appointment dates from August to May.Reporting to the Assistant AD for Sports Information, Compliance and Operations, and working with another Sports Information Assistant, and an experienced coaching staff, the successful candidate will serve as the primary media relations representative for several athletic teams, providing all sports information functions for those teams, including maintaining records and statistics, producing printed materials and programs, writing press releases and game stories, nominating for various awards, scheduling photography and handling general media and public information requests. This position will have a particular emphasis on video content creation and production.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: function as the public relations/news liaison between the media, conference affiliates, the NCAA and the Keene State Department of Athletics for assigned sports; provide website maintenance and assist with social media efforts; assist with scheduling and overseeing the live video broadcasts of athletic events that originate from KSCâs campus in conjunction with the Assistant AD for Sports Information, Compliance and Operations, including providing any filming and video production services associated with the live feed; film, edit and produce any athletics-related multimedia projects; serve as the point person within the sports information office for marketing/promotion of athletic events; assist with game day operations and staffing for all intercollegiate athletic events on KSCâs campus, including statistics, scoreboards, scorekeepers, music and public address; and other related duties as assigned.
Bachelorâs Degree; one year of related experience (undergraduate student experience will be considered); experience in video content creation and production; proven verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to multi-task; proficiency in Stat Crew software in various sports, including the majority of KSCâs sponsored sports; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to athletic communications; a valid driverâs license; evening and weekend availability; limited travel to designated away events is expected.
