Position Summary: The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director of Rural Health Equity Institute (RHEI) with the implementation and coordination of Institute activities and administration. Coordinates efforts across teams and disseminates information to ensure efficient and effective operations, project management, and communications. Interacts with and supports program managers and Core Strategy Leaders (CSL's) with planning, development, and execution of a broad range of activities. Produces reports, coordinates special projects as determined by the Executive Director. Coordinates RHEI social media, website, marketing activities and outreach to create marketing collateral, print and digital, for program offerings, Institute news/events, outreach, and distribution to internal and external audiences.
Required Qualifications: Associates degree or combination of education and experience that equates to two years. Experience in marketing and community outreach related activities. Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and implement actions. Ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Commitment to excellence and customer service. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive attitude. Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree. Experience working in higher education. Experience creating and coordinating content for social media. Two years experience in marketing and community outreach.
Duties & Responsibilities: Coordinates meetings that will engage stakeholders, external partners and CMU experts in planning activities for statewide and community initiatives and work efforts. Serves as an active part of the team, coordinates activities related to grant planning processes, communications and progress reports, as needed. Generates analyses, contributes to reporting processes, and is responsible for work plan communications with sub-committees and core project teams. Manages day-to-day tasks associated with the RHEI; to include phone calls, voice/other messages, manages email communications, training inquiries, serves as the primary contact for RHEIs grants, projects, initiatives and programs, inquiries to be disseminated and shared appropriately across teams. Assists with Tele Health and Rural Health initiatives, community outreach and collaboration efforts. Coordinates correspondence to partner organizations regarding programs, trainings, continuing education opportunities and processes, and various collaboration opportunities. Assists with budget expenditures and other expenses associated with RHEI, along with contracts and grants ensuring compliance with university, grant rules and regulations. Coordinates affiliation and purchase agreements between partner organizations and CMU, as needed. Generates requested reports to analyze participant outcomes from training sessions and reports findings to RHEI Director and Managers. Travel required to on site locations, as needed, to support stakeholder convening, planning sessions and program offerings of RHEI. Travel may be required to attend and participate at various other trainings, conferences, and events. Performs other duties as assigned.
