Summary Position
Oversee the accurate and timely delivery of print and electronic communication campaigns. Ensure the University's visual identity is consistently represented across all media channels in support of our brand and in line with departmental goals. With the potential to interact with over 100,000 student records and manage 2,500 digital communications, the Communications Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining effective communication strategies.

Bachelors degree from four-year college or university required.

General Purpose of Position
This position ensures university brand consistency and oversees the timely execution of communication matrix to prospective students and families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communications

• Develop a thorough understanding of admissions communication matrix and its functionality in guiding all prospective student communication.
• Execute the admissions communication flow
  • Process and mail print communication, including decision letters and admitted student welcome packets.
  • Provide weekly lists to Mail/Print Services for publication mailings.
  • Manage mass-email, via Slate CRM, across various stages of the admissions funnel.
  • Monitor all letters and email for accuracy throughout the admissions cycle.
  • Manage prospective student text campaigns.
  
  
  
• Communicate admissions needs to Mail/Print Services to ensure timeliness of mailings and smooth operations in all departments.
• Ordering and maintain department letterhead/stationary inventory.

Events

• Assist with the creation, updating, and printing event schedules, in concert with the director of communications and the campus visit team.
• Update and coordinate, with event planner(s), printing of event materials.
• Print name tags and event packets if applicable.

Campus Visit

• Participate in rotation of Saturday Campus Visit responsibilities
• Participate in Admissions special events.

Social Media

• Contribute to admissions social media strategy.
• Serve as a member of the social media committee.
• Assist with the supervision of Social Media Interns.

Campus Partners Support

• Create and execute Elon Bound communications plan as developed by New Student Programs, Academic Advising and other campus partners.
