Commitment to advancing the Center's mission
Demonstrated interest in public policy
For External Affairs Managers, either:
4 years of external affairs experience and significant experience in one of the 'useful experience' categories listed below and a record of managing projects independently, OR
2-3 years of external affairs experience and significant experience in more than one of the useful experience categories listed below and a record of managing projects independently.
Useful experience

Experience with communicating to policymakers, such as tracking the status of legislation, summarizing the potential impact of different approaches, drafting correspondence, researching legislators' positions, and/or organizing meetings.
Experience with media outreach, such as writing pitches, creating press lists, identifying news hooks, communicating with reporters, and/or prepping colleagues for interviews.
Experience with events, such as conceptualizing agendas, lining up speakers, coordinating day of logistics, and/or facilitating discussions.
Ability to design simple digital products and graphics using basic design software
This role does not require experience in the tax law field, but it would be a plus to have some familiarity with tax law or policy, a sound understanding of the federal legislative and regulatory processes that may impact the Center's work, and/or experience with communications for an organization producing technical analyses in any area of law or policy.
