Assistant Metro Editor - Mornings
The Seattle Times, a family-owned news organization and one of the nation’s premier regional news sources, is seeking a savvy and well-rounded Assistant Metro Editor to wake up the website each morning. This fast-paced job focuses on breaking and trending news, helping readers navigate their day. Working with a morning reporter, and a collaborative morning desk team, this editor will often focus on stories about traffic, crime, weather as well as those stories that put our region into greater context and pieces that just make readers smile.  Schedule: This editor will work 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, the same shift as the morning breaking news reporter.  Responsibilities: Thrive
