Position Information: The Coordinator for Programs & Initiatives knowledge and skills are a seasoned, experienced Student Services professional to coordinate the implementation, planning, facilitation, and oversight of all Associated Students (ASUCR) on-campus, off-campus, and online events (including but not limited to conferences, programs, surveys, meetings, etc.) in development with the student leaders. Under the supervision of the Executive Director (ED), the incumbent is responsible for coordinating all necessary aspects of ASUCR events/programs/meetings, maintaining budgets, purchasing and procurement, and maintaining inventory of promotional and event items, completing related forms and other duties as assigned. This position will ensure the proper adherence to UCR policies, ASUCR bylaws, and established procedures throughout the coordination of events/programs/meetings. The Coordinator for Programs & Initiatives will communicate directly with both staff and students to identify their needs for events and respond with appropriate recommendations and providing interpretation of complex policies, procedures and regulations. A proactive approach is required as the role operates with minimal supervision and the incumbent will take initiative to organize and prioritize an array of tasks in order to meet stringent deadlines. This position requires a large amount of processing requests, forms, etc. This position will assist the ED in financial analysis by providing comprehensive event reports. This position is responsible for regularly updating the ASUCR website, currently formatted in Drupal, and the management of various social media platforms. The Coordinator for Programs & Initiatives models excellent customer service skills and fosters a welcoming environment for UCR administrators, faculty, staff, students, and guests as needed.
The full salary range for the Coordinator for Programs & Initiatives position is $56,000 - $96,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $65,000.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
