Develops story ideas, gathers and organizes field and online research and data, filing Freedom of Information Act records requests as needed.
Attends meetings, interviews and events. Takes photos as necessary; logs interviews; drafts and revises stories, verifies factual information, produces broadcast versions of stories; produces promotional spots and copy; produces web and social multimedia content.
Report news for state network and national programming. Participates in newsroom editorial and planning meetings.
Collaborates with other news organizations.
Ensures all content produced meets University's journalistic standards of accuracy, fairness, and balance.
Compiles newscasts for broadcast from a range of sources.
