This is a full time position which is a hybrid role requiring two days a week (Wednesday & Thursday) in the office. Occasional travel required for event coordination that will involve weekend work (4-6 times a year).
POSITION OVERVIEW
NCCA’s Education & Communication Coordinator plays a vital role in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of events and educational programs that align with the needs of our members. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining weekly communications with members as well as the creation of videos and other member resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management:
Plan, organize, and oversee conventions, educational and meetings, ensuring all logistics are handled effectively.
Coordinate with speakers, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure event content is relevant and engaging.
Manage event registrations, track attendance, and handle post-event evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
Ensure that events are in alignment with organizational goals and target audience needs.
Develops and manages budgets for educational programs and events, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Communications:
Develop and send weekly and monthly email newsletters to keep members informed about upcoming events, news, and opportunities.
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communications (emails, video, etc.) to enhance member engagement.
Content Creation:
Work with internal teams to create and distribute educational content (e.g., blog posts, webinars, videos, resource documents) that supports professional development and member engagement.
Create engaging video content for educational purposes, member updates, and event promotion.
Oversee the creation of member resources, including guides, documents, and online materials, to support ongoing education.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of a strategic communications plan for member engagement and education.
Maintain an event calendar and work with other team members to ensure all events are well-promoted across the appropriate channels (website, social media, emails).
Ensure all communications are clear, concise, and provide value to the members.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in education, communication, and event management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in event planning, communications, or educational content creation.
Experience with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and video creation/editing.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other productivity tools.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Preferred Skills:
Experience in non-profit or association management.
Graphic design skills for creating promotional materials or resources.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other educational platforms is a plus.
