Assists with events and regular communications to engage current students and approximately 103,000 alumni around the world to increase philanthropic support for the College.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in event production, customer communications, customer/constituent database management, customer service, research, development, or other related field. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must be detail oriented. Must be professional, well organized, have a strong writing background and have excellent email and phone skills. Experience in using LinkedIn and Raisers Edge or a similar CRM a plus.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends. Must be able to lift 30-35 pounds without restrictions. Must be physically able to climb stairs to access work facility.

Assists the Senior Director and Assoc. Director of Alumni Engagement in planning and executing events. Travels, when appropriate, to coordinate and execute events.

Partners with Institutional Advancement Communications team to amplify gift announcements and other important news. Works with WordPress to keep the Alumni website updated with events, sponsors, etc.

Solicits, collects, and updates contact, demographic, and other information on students, alumni, parents, and donors in the Raiser’s Edge database. Works with Raiser’s Edge data administrators to produce event reports and analyze data to measure effectiveness of engagement efforts. Tracks alumni engagement for measuring progress toward annual division goals and metrics reports for philanthropy and engagement.

Writes and distributes monthly Class Notes and Cougar Tales e-newsletters. Writes regular “Alumni Spotlight” for social media and posts events and news on all Alumni social media channels.
