Position Information: Are you a passionate leader with a knack for building high-impact applications? UCR ITS is seeking a driven Manager of Application and Integration Development to guide a team of developers in crafting innovative solutions for our student systems. You'll be hands-on, mentoring your team, diving into code, and ensuring seamless integrations that enhance the UCR student journey.
The Manager of Campus Integrated Applications Development is a hands-on manager for a small team of application developers responsible for student system integrated web applications, custom applications, and vendor integrations. The Manager will provide direction and management to a team of application developers; review the work assigned to staff during all phases of project work; perform application and database programming types of tasks to assist staff in completion of assigned work; and consider end user training for new functionality. The role will also proactively ensure efficient management and resolution of demands, incidents, and requests. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1) Providing direction and reviewing the work assigned to staff during all phases of project work. 2) Performing related tasks to assist staff in the completion of assigned work. 3) Coordinating the planning of end-user training for new functionality. 4)Identifying training and growth opportunities for staff. 5) Ensuring that the developer adhere to the division's standardized methods for development. 6) Facilitating the implementation of quality assurance requirements for complex enterprise information systems and web applications. 7) Coordinating with the functional and ITS leadership to establish best practices and procedures to meet organizational SLAs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development methodologies and experience in leading and managing teams.
This position is classified as predominantly remote with occasional visits to campus as needed. Working hours will be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST).
The full salary range for the Manager, Application and Integration Development is $90,400 - $169,000 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $140,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
