The Service Management and Communications team is a high-functioning group within the central IT department of Carnegie Mellon University. This collaborative team regularly works with cross-discipline groups within the division and university to create useful and meaningful content that supports the IT needs of the campus community.
Core responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute plans to generate the appropriate level of content and communications in support of our services including web content, knowledge base articles, communications, social media posts, news stories, and marketing materials.

You should demonstrate:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interview customers and subject matter experts to create technical documentation, instructional materials, and communications
Familiarity with web-based communication techniques and content management strategies
Close attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
Flexible personality with the ability to adapt and adopt change and new technology
Ability to quickly learn new software and other technologies
Experience with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign), HTML, and CSS experience a plus
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Instructional Design or equivalent subject area required
1-3 years of relevant experience required
Or a combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge
