Position Summary
Primary responsibilities for this position include managing the day-to-day activities of study, including supervision of any project staff, coordination of evaluation activities, oversight of data collection and analyses, and development of reports and other products. The coordinator may travel out of state occasionally.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Â
Manages project evaluation and research.
- Oversees research, development, and writing to meet project deliverables.
- Manages data collection (quantitative & qualitative) content development.
- Actively disseminate project findings: prepare summaries, present at scientific conferences, participate in preparation of manuscripts.
Project Coordination
- Manages, develops, and coordinates all project activities serving as the primary contact for external partners.
- Performs data analysis and/or data management for investigators using statistical packages including generation of tables and graphs.
- Prepares regular progress reports and final reports for funding agency. Manages budgetary expenditures in cooperation with financial manager.
- Develops and implements project timelines.
- Implements communications strategy for internal audiences and external audiences including the creation and dissemination of center news and updates.
- Maintains center website and social media presence.
- Supervises project staff â“ Hires, manages, and oversees work of research assistants (staff and students).
Assists in grant development.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Will be an optional hybrid schedule with some days that can be worked at home.
- The office setting is at the Brown School on the Danforth Campus, with some meetings on the medical school campus; there may be occasions to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterâ™s degree of Public Health or related field.
- Strong research methods skills and high degree of proficiency with literature review systems (Psych literature, ERIC, etc.).
- Personable, flexible, organized, and comfortable in project management position.
- Experience with a variety of computer programs (video, statistical, web design, etc.).
- Experience with planning and organization of multi-day events.
- Understanding and knowledge of public health terminology.
- Experience analyzing data (qualitative/quantitative).
- Demonstrated superior writing and editing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including faculty, staff, students, public affairs, and health and news organizations.
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically.
- Ability to represent the project effectively with scholars, students, and community groups.
- Ability to work independently and exercise outstanding judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a complex organizational environment.
- Ability to manage the projects budget and resources.
Required Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s degree in public health, social work, social sciences, or public policy or related field and two years of experience or Masterâ™s degree.

Salary Range
$40,100.00 - $72,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
