The Role: Senior Editor The Grade/Level: (relevant for internal applicants only) 9 The Location: US, remote
The Impact: The Content Management Specialist is responsible for editorial support of S&P Global Market Intelligence content. Your work will ensure articles are clear, concise, complete, and correct. The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure is essential. This position works in conjunction with other content editors, desktop publishers, and designers as part of a global editorial and publishing team.
Responsibilities
Edit/format maritime and trade, supply chain, and US economy content (e.g., reference, news, reports, analysis).
Ensure articles are grammatically accurate, adhere to house style, and meet publishing standards.
Publish content to websites.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Excellent writing skills-must be clear and concise
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly
Proficient with MS Office
Attention to detail and good multitasking skills
Ability to act both independently and as part of a team
Ability to understand, retain, and apply the procedures to access, work within, and move between different publishing platforms and environments
Ability to quickly absorb and put into practice new information, instructions, or procedures while seamlessly performing current job tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills-must work harmoniously with analysts and other editors across regions and time zones
Ability to meet tight deadlines and display a strong degree of flexibility while working under pressure
Awareness of libel and copyright laws, experience in electronic/web publishing, and experience with InDesign would be advantageous
What We're Looking For:
1-3 years professional experience, preferably economics, business, or industry trade publications.
BA/BS/MS/MA, preferably in English, journalism, publishing, or communications.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $49,400 to $89,300. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
