Description of Work:
The Panhandle Research, Extension, and Education Center seeks a science communicator to present complex, multi-disciplinary information for diverse audiences through a wide variety of media. Maintain positive relations with local and regional news media outlets facilitating public communications from faculty and staff. Design and create digital and print materials including news releases, advertisements, videos, graphics, etc. Responsible for website management and maintaining social media presence. Position is located near Scottsbluff, NE and will work primarily in-office with some flexibility for remote work.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related sciences, communications, journalism, public relations, or closely related field plus two years of experience in communications or marketing. Ability to engage, analyze, distill, and communicate complex ideas and issues to a wide range of audiences. Experience creating news releases and social media content. Experience maintaining websites.
