This full-time project coordinator position will require the following:
Collaborate and work with project team, staff, and students to fully implement and schedule the de-escalation trainings with regional police departments
Coordinate outreach to the Northeast region with the program director and co-principal investigator
Coordinate individual session materials with instructors
Itemize and track expenses associated with overall program cost, travel, and training session expenditures.
Coordinate information on trainers in partnered agencies, including resumes, contact information, training sessions held
Detailed record keeping on each training session provided
Making travel accommodations for regional and national instructors
Work directly for the Project Director and perform tasks and responsibilities as needed
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills for planning and scheduling
Self-awareness of personal and professional attributes and values that align with program goals and deliverables
Conscientious regarding professional demeanor, interaction, and timely attendance
Media literacy skills in use of electronic technology (PC, laptop, e-notebooks, wireless phones, cameras, video cameras, microphones, LCD projectors, etc.) and corresponding software in MS programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; social media platforms and website navigation
Critical thinking with problem-solving practice and patience
Autonomy and independence in working with limited direction to completion of tasks
Must be professional and courteous in all interactions and communications, capable of handling confidential matters; demonstrate consistently strong interpersonal skills; and can work collaboratively with a diverse community of faculty, staff, students, and administrators.
This position requires an individual who is detail oriented and able to work efficiently in a busy environment while successfully handling multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree required with at least 6 years of experience. Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university with 4 years’ experience referred.
Must have at least four years of professional office/administrative experience.
Knowledge of the structure and organization of law enforcement agencies preferred.
Familiarity and experience working within grant-funded program/project preferred
Understanding of grant-based program/project deliverables, timelines, and reporting requirements
Able to provide own transportation
Willing to work a full-time, hybrid schedule as a temporary hire for grant period
