COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR, Architecture, to coordinate and support communications efforts for the Department of Architecture, including exhibitions, publications, and communications, with a focus on lectures and events. Will work with the communications strategist and various department stakeholders in the department to coordinate, produce, and promote its lecture series, which as the cornerstone of public programming for the department, showcases weekly presentations from visitors across the globe who join the community for in-person presentations that are streamed online. Will be responsible for organizing these lecture events, including coordination, promotion, production, documentation, post-production, and archiving. Will also curate and develop content for several of the department's publications platforms, website, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, including the posting of news, updates, student work, and events; collaborate with the communications strategist and department communications team on developing content campaigns and facilitating the sharing of content and ideas across platforms; and assist with archiving student work and other communications-related projects as needed.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field; one year of communications experience, preferably in architecture, art, or design fields; experience with content creation, digital communications, project management, and media relations; editorial, content development, fact-checking, proofreading, and written and oral communication skills; up-to-date experience with and extensive knowledge of digital communications platforms (social media); and high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). PREFERRED: master's degree; knowledge of and experience in university research, graduate studies, and/or professional practice transfer; interest in architecture, art, and design; eye for design; and website development experience.
