Capital & Main, an award-winning nonprofit investigative news publication covering California and some national stories, has a position available for an experienced reporter to work out of our Los Angeles offices.
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
At least three post-academic years’ experience as a news reporter, including investigative reporting
Experience reporting on economic, business and labor issues
Strong interest in the issues of economic, social and racial inequality
Ability to produce stories under deadline pressure
Strong commitment to a team-based editorial approach
Deep familiarity with social media a plus
Spanish fluency and data journalism experience are pluses
This position will initially be 50-75% time, depending on salary requirements, increasing to full time as early as January 2020.
