The Wenatchee World is looking for an innovative journalist ready to make an immediate difference and take our digital presence to the next level.
You'll split your time between reporting and digital production/distribution.
On the reporting side, you'll focus on quick-hit web pieces and also pick up our arts and entertainment coverage.
On the digital side, you'll help maintain our website and craft newsletters, push alerts and social media posts.
We're looking for a self-starter ready to bring fresh ideas to the table. Experience with content management systems, social media and analytics is a must. Photo/video and data viz skills are a big plus.
The Wenatchee World publishes a five-day-a-week newspaper, several special publications and we're growing our digital presence rapidly.
We're located in the heart of beautiful North Central Washington state, just a couple hours from Seattle and Spokane. There's an abundance of recreation opportunities, from skiing to hiking to kayaking, just out the back door.
The position is full-time with medical, dental, 401(k) and paid leave. Email cover letter, resume and clips to Managing Editor Russ Hemphill, firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to apply is Friday, January 24.
