As a member of the Repustar Review Network, you will:
Choose from a wide variety of topics in the news, look into the accuracy of claims made about them and write short, to-the-point summaries backed up by credible documentation and data.
Work at your own pace.
Go deep or broad depending on your own interests and goals.
Unlock opportunities to progress to Reviewer-Editor role as you gain experience with the network.
Get feedback from experienced, committed editors to develop your skills.
Earn $25 for each published review, with additional incentives as you progress.
Develop social-media and professional visibility.
The network has published 400+ Reviews in an initial three-month development phase and is seeking to grow output steadily in coming months.
Anyone can join; all it takes is some skill in online research and good writing skills. Successful reviewers so far have included recent graduates of research-oriented degree programs in science and policy fields, and other research-oriented professionals in marketing communications, education and information science—and some freelancing reporters.
We’re on the lookout for people from all over the country, and all sorts of backgrounds and political orientations. If you think the media is leaning the wrong way, come aboard and help us keep things accurate (but recognize you need to check your impulses at the door and apply our nonpartisan standards to your work).
