| The Office of Communications serves as the primary information resource for the School. We can help journalists with their print, web, TV, and radio stories by identifying experts for interviews on a wide range of public health topics. We create content for the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health website and other Harvard publications. Our office also writes press releases announcing the latest research and news coming out of the School. The Senior Social Media Manager at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health serves as the day-to-day voice of the School in social media, providing both proactive and responsive communications for an audience of over 600,000 followers. The Senior Social Media Manager is responsible for the development of timely, creative, and compelling content across the School's official social media platforms—including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, and any new or future social media networks and initiatives—and executing strategies for maximum impact. As the School's primary storyteller on social media, the Senior Social Media Manager writes and edits content that builds brand awareness and enhances the School's reputation, while adhering to the School's style guidelines and best practices. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
PLEASE NOTE: The primary work location for this position is Boston, Massachusetts. Until our return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process and position will be conducted virtually – including virtual interviews, remote onboarding, and remote work. The remote nature of this position is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required as a condition of continued employment once the School and this role return to an operational status that supports it. At the Harvard T.H.
