A self motivated individual can successfully perform this position from anywhere and this position is currently 100% remote, subject to potential adjustment post COVID-19 pandemic. Our headquarters is located in Arlington Heights, IL.
WHAT THE VIDEO PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE DOES The Video Production Associate is responsible for producing virtual events, podcasts and video content and motion graphics in collaboration with Communications, Membership, Education, The Plastic Surgery Foundation and other departments. This includes directing and producing live events using the vMix platform, video and sound editing of educational videos, promotional marketing videos, public relations and public education videos, television commercials and PSAs, “how-to” videos for members, internal videos for staff and videos for live viewing at symposia. The position will also require reviewing and recommending A/V equipment and software. This position requires strong organizational, communication, planning, writing, videography and editing skills for a growing division.
The position is responsible for ensuring that video shot and produced is of high-quality for use in educationally sound electronic media, appropriate for television, online or on-site presentation. Collaborates with the staff in all departments in the selection, production, direction, and editing of visual elements (e.g., video, still images, animations), and audio elements used in computer mediated learning environments distributed online via plasticsurgery.org, YouTube, the ASPS Education Network (PSEN), social media and e-mail marketing. Also responsible for same functions as it relates to Society’s other media needs, including public education videos and marketing videos for the web as well as television news outlets and national PSAs and commercials.

Collaborate with other staff to create and produce visual elements (video and/or images) for education programs (e.g., interactive programs, publication supplements), marketing and public relations campaigns and video programs designed for live viewing at symposia focusing on content acquisition, program functionality, design, testing, and replication. 3. Edits digital video and creates motion graphics at an expert level using Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. 4. Organize project video assets to promote efficiency, economy, access and reuse of these valuable investments. Includes development and management of an organizational system to provide timely access to existing video. 5. Evaluates, recommends, and operates ASPS internal video editing systems. Suggests upgrades to system to keep pace with current technology. Maintains equipment and sources repairs as needed.
