Through our award-winning community engagement strategies, El Tímpano has developed an engaged community of Spanish-speaking immigrants across the Bay Area with important stories to tell. Our Social Media Strategist will be responsible for designing, managing, and implementing strategic and creative approaches to use social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to amplify their stories, create informational content, and grow El Tímpano’s diverse audiences.  The Social Media Strategist will work across El Tímpano’s team, including with newsroom and community engagement and outreach staff, as well as our development team. This role will report to El Tímpano’s Managing Editor.
