The Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine offers comprehensive training for pediatricians--from medical school to lifelong state-of-the-art learning modules for practicing physicians. The school's nationally acclaimed pediatrics faculty provide supportive, innovative instruction and guidance to ensure the success of learners. Medical students, residents and fellows train alongside IU School of Medicine faculty at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, Indiana's only comprehensive children's hospital. Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Provides administration support for the Department of Pediatrics Education programs, assisting in the management of the program and serving as a department resource to trainees.
Provides administrative support to the Pediatric Chief Residents, maintains written and verbal communication with housestaff residents, maintains employment files for each resident.
Provides administrative support to the Pediatric Clerkship program T3 course and exam proctoring, exercising confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
Supports and assists with financial processing for education related expenses.
General Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to a department or group of professionals, exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
Utilizes business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; compiles data for expense and statistical reports.
Receives, screens, and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail, and email promptly, courteously, and accurately.
Schedules and confirms appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements; tracks expenses.
Participates in the development and implementation of administrative standards, policies and practices for the organization.
May perform other duties related to maintaining an internal website and/or working with social media.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
The salary range for this position is $38,000 - $43,000. Salary determination is based on experience, skill level, education, and training.
