The Department of American Studies/Media and Communications at State University of New York at Old Westbury is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant Professor starting in Fall 2025.  We seek candidates in the field of Digital Journalism with expertise in one or more of the following areas: multiplatform production; investigative reporting; visual journalism; data/sensor journalism; immersive storytelling; broadcast; community and/or social justice journalism; public relations; and/or strategic communications. Ideal candidates will have professional experience in a contemporary newsroom and/or digital media environment, as well as a strong foundation in journalistic ethics and best practices.
